I’ll be really surprised if a form of these guys in their former glory doesn’t show up in the DLC. They were obviously coerced by Miquella to search for something. They remind me of the exiles and the banished knights, but they don’t use storm ashes of war? Even Godrick uses them. Maybe there’s two birds? One who utilizes ghost flame and the other that uses the storm.

I think a lack of polish on anything but Ranni's ending makes this a hard question to answer. Everything else is just "Which color tree do you want?" if you don't think long and hard about the lore.

I like Duskborn and Stars. Duskborn sounds merciful, everyone suffering finally gets to actually die. Then Stars sounds hopeful, where everyone makes their own path. I’m not that happy that doing the her quest kills two of my favorite NPCs and we put a ring on her but it sounds like the better ending

The reveal halfway through the game is the reveal that Radagon is Marika. The reveal at the end is that The Elden Beast is Radagon. Or Radagon is a spawned consciousness of Marika and the Elden Ring within her. The fickleness of God is that they're no better than men.

I really enjoyed the game, man! I liked it more than some Souls games made by Fromsoft (although that could be recency bias speaking). I hope they make a sequel (one is announced already I think) and this becomes a franchise.

I thought soul of cinder isnt the final boss, sure he is hard to fight but when the credits start It felt anti climatic and I felt a bit empty. I thought there's suppose to be dramatic cutscene first u know, before the "final boss". Doesnt felt too rewarding. I guess the bittersweet ending is thematic to the whole game.

Given the Age of Stars ending emphasizes there will be no direct intervention in the Lands Between, I see the Stellar god (good a name as any) as a symbol for the impersonal cosmic laws that govern Fate and karma. It's even mentioned that stars rule Fate in the game.

A side note. When Morgott loses control of his Omen blood in the second phase of his fight, a few of his attacks have the same red bloodfire associated with Mog's power and the Formless Mother. Since it is unlikely Morgott actively worships the Formeless Mother, there is likely an association with the blood of the Omen and the Formless Mother.

When regular person or sage eats a stone that is probably what happens but Zelda it’s different though and is linked with a goddess unlike most people.

I believe that the dragon outer God, is the literal God of Time for there is a lot time symbolism in Farum Azula and the general themes of Fire, Death, Time, Order and aspect which represent the other outer Gods. And the fact that the dragons seemingly worshipped multiple Gods like the greater will, makes me believe that their god was the ultimate supreme being of the universe and all the other gods are just variations of this one true greater deity. The fell god, The Time/Dragon God, Greater Will/Frenzied Flame and the others are all the same being just different facettes of it with the god of Time/Dragons being the supreme god.

I've seen that writing around the lands between on large stones. An example one is behind the merchant at the start of liurnia of the lakes; the one you can buy a lantern from.

what’s confusing to me, is that it’s said all gods and demi gods are of marikas descent, and if godfrey is his dad, why in the world is he so weak…? how is his power diluted…? Or be “distant relation” it doesn’t make sense to me

My theory is that the MC and Paracelsus are the same person from different timelines created by listener magic like Sophia’s. Paracelsus mentions that our MC is a new brother, which could mean something more literal than what we see at face value. Since the MC is only referred to as “P” and never actually Pinocchio and obtains hair like Paracelsus. Whose name also starts with a “P”. The height between the two is also nearly the same. I really think they may be the same puppet from different timelines. Paracelsus had potential to break free from either the time loop or just in general had potential to become human and fix is “Krat incident.” He is now scouting to see if the other timeline versions of him that have similar potential. Like our MC.

so my understanding is that dung eater and fia's ending people die again but the golden order are still in control of the elden ring control the future of all, ranni's ending is everyone is still immortal but free from the order, i guess the frenzied flame is the good ending burn it all away as if it never existed to begin with, fias takes a 2nd place at least people can die

I take them having a path to walk still but in a new age a good fitting meta wise. The age of fire (dark souls) is ending, but Fromsoft has more tales to tell, and are asking if youll still be there with them

I actually think the frenzied flame ending is the best. Its basically asserting that life is a struggle and existing at all is not enjoyable or worth it for most people. And so you melt everything back together, the frenzied flame is the most ethical ending because you end evil, you end suffering, you end torment, by ending life itself. Melina begs you not to pursue this ending, but shes had the privilege of being the daughter of a goddess, she would naively be optimistic about existence
